 Namascor B.V. is Europe's largest steel service centre specialized in hot rolled steel, with an annual output of over 260,000 metric tons. Namascor was founded in 1974 and joined the Corus Group in 1998.
Suitably located on the "Hollands Diep" waterway, not far from the Port of Rotterdam, Namascor processes coils of steel into ultra flat, narrow tolerance sheets. Namascor operates two Cut-to-Length (CTL) lines, covering a a range from 1.5 mm up to 30.0 mm in widths up to 2,600 mm untrimmed (2,500 mm side trimmed) and maximum lengths of more than 18 m. Especially the "Jumbo" is a unique CTL-line, capable of processing very wide, heavy gauge, high strength steels (See the related document link for our full range of production capabilities per line). Namascor's product range exists of sheets of Hot Rolled Black, Hot Rolled P&O, Floor Plate as well as Cold Rolled steel.
Related to Namascor's unique capability range, customers are predominantly processors and OEM's to/ in the agricultural and earth moving equipment, crane and truck & trailer building industries as well as bridge and construction building, silo and tank building and machine building sectors. Besides this, Namascor's service offering includes a live Internet interface to track stock and other requirements, which is being done with large selected accounts.
Suppliers of coils are carefully picked, to ensure a top quality finished product, in a range matching our unique line capabilities. Namascor's warehouses are fully automated, making use of bar code scanning equipment as well as a 3-D positioning & tracking system. Besides our warehouse capabilities in Moerdijk, The Netherlands, a warehouse is being held in the UK, through which the various UK customers can be supplied on a JIT basis.
As of end 2007 Namascor will have a fully automated sheet packaging line, enabling fast and faultless packaging, labelling and positioning in our finished products warehouse, ultimately supporting an even better quality packaged product on time.
