![]() Corus Service Centre in Yate near Bristol has opened a trade counter to cater for small and medium sized businesses operating in the South West and South Wales. Tony O’Reilly, General Manager of Yate, comments: The new Trade Counter facility gives customers a 'fast track' option with no queuing behind delivery vehicles, immediate access to a knowledgeable sales person and a quick turnaround. “The emphasis is on providing a flexible and efficient service to customers who wish to purchase small quantities on a same day collection, or next day delivery basis. No order is considered too small and the whole range of steel products is available.” Sales Representative Ian Szmaglik continues: “Smaller customers are important to Corus and this trade counter opening has enabled us to offer a service tailored to their specific requirements.” The trade counter gives smaller customers ‘cash and carry’ style access to a wide range of steel products and services. Customers are able to visit the Service Centre to pick up what they want or, for larger items, place an order for delivery to their premises usually within 24 hours. No minimum order quantity is imposed and, for maximum convenience, customers will also be able to pay using cash, credit or debit card. Products include galvanised, hot rolled and cold reduced sheet, weldmesh, universal beams and 1387 tube while services comprise mitre cutting, painting, shotblasting and square cutting. The new trade counter at Corus Service Centre in Badmington Road Trading Estate, Yate will be open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
