Gauge metal fabrication specialist ‘FAB 24’ is now fully operational from its new manufacturing facility, which now allows them to efficiently facilitate the significant and increased demand for Corus Colorsteels ‘Aquatite™’ product. Designed to replace traditional guttering and roofing materials, Aquatite™ is a completely waterproof sheet laminate which benefits from a consistent high quality finish for maximum drainage efficiency and excellent aesthetics. In the last year alone, Glasgow based FAB 24 has seen a substantial increase in the amount of Aquatite™ being specified and supplied for both private and public sector projects which include major retail parks, schools, office developments, hotels and conference centres. Measuring 5,000 sq ft, FAB 24’s new facility opened in October 2006, and is dedicated to the manufacture and assembly of Aquatite™ products and accessories. Jack McConnell, Managing Director of FAB 24, says: “We’ve worked with Corus Colorsteels for more than a decade, and were even involved with the initial product development trials for Aquatite™. The product delivers the ultimate performance standards in an easy-to-use application. These factors combined with the availability of local support from major blue chip supplier, continuity of supply and, when necessary, short lead times make Aquatite such an attractive proposition for both FAB 24 and our customers. We anticipate even stronger sales growth for the product during 2007 and 2008.” | |
