Investors In People

Multi-products Service Centres received Investors in People (IIP) accreditation in December 2006.  This February John Davis, The Mayor of Wolverhampton, and Mike Judge, chairman of IIP presented the Award to Ian Beveridge, director for Corus Multi Products. Corus received special praise for the quality and level of support it provides to people working at all levels in the business.

To qualify for the Award, Corus multi products underwent a vigorous assessment programme which saw Investors in People representatives visit ten sites and interview more than 15 per cent of its workforce.  Commenting on the award, Ian Beveridge said: “People are our greatest asset and it’s essential that our HR systems enable us to maximise the potential of everyone in the business while providing support to the business managers of the future.  Our official recognition as an Investor in People confirms our commitment to these principles and the values enshrined in Passionate People, a strategic objective that forms part of the Corus Way working philosophy.  It also embodies our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and the adoption of best practice across all areas of our business.”

Mike Judge of Investors in People said: “Attaining the Investors In People standard reflects Corus’ very professional approach to all aspects of human resource development. The company has joined the elite group of organisations within manufacturing industry that have achieved Investors in People accreditation.”
