Corus opens Metal Centre in Kent

05 Nov 2007

Corus is to open a new Metal Centre in Chatham’s historic dockyard this week to cater for buyers of metal and associated services throughout Kent.

The Centre will give customers fast, flexible access to a wide range of steel products by imposing no minimum order quantity and offering a 24-hour delivery service via a fleet of bespoke vehicles. The centre’s product range, which comprises Corus’ core product range as well as everything from lintels to steel tube to handrails, is tailored to meet local businesses needs.   It will also have the capability to provide sawing, profiling, shotblasting, painting, folding and drilling services.

“The new Centre will enable all customers to get what they want, when they want it.” said Centre manager Brian Murphy. “We have an enviable product range and because we have access to the stock held by Corus nationwide, we can cater for orders of any size and source a variety of material at very short notice.

“Organisations will also benefit from dealing with a local service team which has a working knowledge of the area and can provide expert advice to customers.”

The Metal Centre is open from Monday to Friday from 8.45am to 5.15pm and can be contacted on 01634 848061.  It accepts a wide range of payment methods including credit card and cash.
