The new Corus 'Advance' section range has been developed to reflect current structural design practice and makes it easier to specify Corus CE marked structural sections compliant with the EU Directive on Construction Products (CPD) Designers need to be sure that the sections they specify comply with the new regulations and choosing a CE marked product, such as Advance, is the simplest way to achieve this. Proving steel's sustainability credentials will be easy for specifiers of Advance sections. About 94% of Corus steel sections were already recycled in the days before sustainability became a key business driver. Designers can be assured that by specifying Advance sections, they are also making a contribution to the sustainability of their own projects. The new Advance name covers the full range of hot rolled sections manufactured by Corus including angles, channels, tees and bearing piles as well as beams and columns. The Advance mark is rolled into the steel for ease of identification and traceability. 21 new beams and columns have been added to the range and a new brochure complete with an interactive ‘blue book’ CD detailing the properties of the entire Advance range. | |
